I'm just going to put it out there: Lately I do not have a lot of love for smokers. Sure, it's your body, your decision. But when clouds of second-hand smoke from your Marlboro Lights are wafting into my face in a public place (where, news flash: it's illegal to smoke!), we're going to have words. Tell me, do you have lots of love or hard feelings for smokers?
This is terrible, but I absolutely give smokers stink eye (doesn't "stink eye" just encapsulate that look perfectly?) when I'm forced to breathe their second-hand smoke in a public place. Sorry, but when they're smoking on the sidewalk and exhaling their nasties in a big cloud in my direction, it bugs me.
First of all, it's rude. It's also compromising my health (and my kids)--second-hand smoke is dangerous. And finally, it's illegal. In my state, you're breaking the law if you smoke within 20 feet of a public building/place of business.
Tell me, are you a meanie to smokers? Do you give them "the look" or make an exaggerated gesture to wave the smoke away from your face with your hand (been there, done that)?
